The heart of Tbilisi is its Old Town, where history, colour, and narrow cobblestone streets blend beautifully. Wander through the charming, winding streets. Key stops include: Gabriadze Clock Tower, Sioni Cathedral and the oldest church in Tbilisi, Anchiskhati Basilica. Stroll down Shardeni Street and Erekle II Street, known for their cozy cafes, small shops, and art galleries.
Head to Rike Park and take the Aerial Cable Car up to the Narikala Fortress. The short ride offers incredible views of the city. Explore the ruins of the 4th-century fortress and enjoy the panoramic perspective of the Mtkvari River, the Sulphur Baths district, and the Bridge of Peace. Walk over from the fortress to the impressive 20-meter tall aluminum statue, Kartlis Deda (Mother of Georgia). She symbolizes the Georgian national character: holding a bowl of wine for friends and a sword for enemies.
Visit the Abanotubani district, famous for its distinctive brick domes that house the natural sulfur bathhouses. The air often smells of sulfur, which is said to have therapeutic properties. The ornate, blue-tiled exterior of the Orbeliani Baths is a favorite photo spot. While a full bath session usually takes more than an hour and requires a booking, even just walking through the district is an essential cultural experience.
Walk from the baths past the river to the modern, bow-shaped pedestrian Bridge of Peace. This glass and steel structure is a striking contrast to the Old Town architecture. Spend a few minutes relaxing in Rike Park, which sits at one end of the bridge.
Ride the Funicular up Mtatsminda mountain. This is the highest point in Tbilisi and home to a large amusement park. The main draw is the incredible, sweeping view of the entire city, especially beautiful as the sun begins to set. Grab a coffee or dessert at the Funicular Restaurant complex.

Please let us know your specific requirements when you RSVP. Georgian cuisine is naturally rich in delicious vegetable dishes (like Pkhali—beetroot/spinach pâtés, Lobio—bean stew, and fresh salads).
However, a few important notes:
Walnuts are a cornerstone of Georgian cuisine and are found in many spreads, sauces, and dips (including many vegetarian dishes).
Dairy is present in the iconic cheese bread, Khachapuri.
For Guests with Allergies or Severe Restrictions: We will work with our caterer to prepare safe, individually plated meals for guests with severe allergies (like gluten or nut allergies) to minimize the risk of cross-contamination from the main communal tables.
Please be as specific as possible in your RSVP note so we can ensure you have a safe and wonderful meal.
The transportation will be provided between the wedding venue Chateau Mukhrani and hotel The Telegraph. The bus will leave on 19 September 2026 at 2pm from the hotel.
